European Internet Forum (EIF)

The EIF is a platform where members of the European Parliament, representatives of the Internet industry and Internet experts from academia, the technical community and civil society regularly hold discussions and hearings on Internet issues dealt with in the EU. Founded in 2000 as European Internet Foundation, the EIF was first chaired by Erika Mann, German Member of European Parliament (MEP), who also was an ICANN Director from 2009 to 2015.

In 2014 it changed its name into European Internet Forum. The current chair is the Spanish MEP Pilar de Castello. The EIF supports the IGF and EURODIG.
