Munich Security Conference (MSC)

Since 2011, when the then British Foreign Secretary William Hague put "Cyber Security" on the agenda of the MSC, the MSC has organised an annual "Cybersecurity Summit" (CSS) and irregular "Cybersecurity Roundtables" (CRT).

The topics discussed at the CSSs and the CRTs include the effects of the Internet on peacekeeping, disarmament and international security policy. CSS and CRT are high-level and exclusive events where no final documents are negotiated. They are chaired by the MSC President Wolfgang Ischinger, who formerly worked for the UN and served as German Ambassador to the United States.
