Q1/2019 - Freedom Online Coalition (FOC)

Berlin, 1 March 2019

On 1 March 2019, Ghana took over the presidency of the Freedom Online Coalition (FOC) from Germany. The new chair is Ghana’s Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful. The co-chairs of the FOC Advisory Network (FOC-AN) were also newly elected. Mallory Knodel from Article 19 and Bernard Shen from Microsoft replaced the two resigning co-chairs, Matthew Shears, by now an ICANN Board Member, and Katharine Kendrick. Both will remain members of the FOC-AN[1].
