Consultation process on artificial intelligence and intellectual property, Geneva, 14 February 2020

On 13 December 2019, WIPO had invited to a consultation about artificial intelligence and intellectual property (Draft Issues Paper on IP Policy and AI). The Issues Paper identified 6 topics that are relevant to the future work of WIPO in this area[1]. WIPO had invited to comment on the paper unitl 15 February 2020. 26 WIPO member states gave their comments, including Germany[2]. The revised version of the Issues Paper is planned to be discussed at the 2nd session of the competent WIPO committee in Geneva at the start of May 2020.
