Q2/2019 - International Labour Organisation (ILO)

International Labour Conference, Geneva, 21 June 2019

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Organisation, the annual ILO conference adopted a Declaration for the Future of Work[1]. In January, the Global Commission on the Future of Work established by ILO had presented a comprehensive report with recommendations how to cope with the impacts of digitisation on the world of work. Important elements of these recommendations – e.g. in the areas of education and training, remuneration, decent work, non-discrimination, promotion of women, etc. – have been included in the Declaration. The ILO Decent Work Agenda is intended to contribute to the achievement of the sustainable UN development goals (SDGs).[2]
