Paris, 12 November 2018
On 12 November 2018, the GCSC held a public hearing during the IGF 13 in Paris on the Singapore Norm Package adopted in Singapore in September 2018. Part of the overall eight norms of the package has been incorporated into the “Paris Call on Trust and Security in Cyberspace”, such as the norm on the protection of the Internet’s public core, the protection of voting systems against cyber attacks or the norm on improvement of general cyber hygiene.
The work schedule of the GCSC for the first quarter of 2019 includes meetings in January 2019 in Geneva (back to back with the meeting of the UN High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation), in February 2019 in Munich (back to back to the Munich Security Conference) and in March 2019 in Kobe (back to back to ICANN 64). In addition to that, the GCSC is planning to meet with the African Union in Africa. The GCSC’s concluding report may be presented at the Munich Security Conference in February 2020.
