Q4/2019 - Global Forum on Cyberexpertise

Addis Ababa, October 2019

The Global Forum of Cyberexpertise (GFCE) based in The Hague held its 5th Annual Meeting in Addis Ababa from 8-10 October 2019. The conference discussed the reports of the GFCE working groups (1. Cybercrime Law, Policy & Planning; 2. Developing a national cyber security strategy; 3. Internet of Things (IoT) Security; 4. Cyber Incident Response; 5. Workforce development frameworks; 6. Open Internet Standards; 7. Supply Chain Management 8. regional cybersecurity awareness campaigns, 9. shaping cyber policy through research and capacity building 10. implementing Anti-Cybercrime Operations and Capabilities; 11. international Implications of Cybersecurity: Cyber Diplomacy, Norms, CBMs and CCB). At the Meeting, the work plan for 2020 was approved and the establishment of a "GFCE Women in Cyberspace Initiative" decided. In order to put the Forum on a more stable footing, a foundation will be established and start its work on 1 January 2020[1].
